"DJ Got Usa Fallin' in Love" is a vocal by American singer Usher, featuring guest vocals from American rapper Pitbull, who co-wrote the vocal with the producers Shellback and Max Martin, with boosted writing from Savan Kotecha. Information technology was released to digital download on December 11, 2010, and sent to radio on December 24, 2010, as the first single from Usher'southward EP, Versus EP, which is an extension of his 6th studio anthology, Raymond 5. Raymond. An electronic dance track with a Europop fashion (though the rail was recorded in the United States), the song puts emphasis on its chorus, and follows the chord progression of Gm-F-East♭. Information technology received mixed to positive reviews from critics, who favored its production and Conductor'southward vocals, simply criticized the song'due south lack of originality.

"DJ Got Us Fallin' in Love" peaked in the superlative-x in over fifteen countries, becoming 1 of Conductor's near successful singles. "DJ Got Us Fallin' in Love" was leaked on the internet on December 1, 2010, with its follow-up unmarried "Hot Tottie" leaked later that month.[1] [2] The vocal was released from Versus as the EP's mainstream single, whereas the latter track was released equally the urban single.[iii] "DJ Got Us Fallin' in Dearest" features invitee vocals by rapper Pitbull, who co-wrote it with Savan Kotecha, Max Martin and Shellback, with production handled by the latter two.[iv] Information technology was recorded at Maratone Studios, Stockholm, Sweden and at Conway Studios, Los Angeles, California, handled by Sam Holland and Emily Wright. Mixing was done by Serban Ghenea at MixStar Studios.[four] "DJ Got Us Fallin' in Beloved" runs for a duration of iii minutes and 40 seconds.[5] This is the first of two songs that Kotecha, Martin, and Shellback have co-written for Usher, who would later bring together the iii in co-writing his 2012 single "Scream".

In the United States, the song debuted at number nineteen on the Billboard Hot 100 on the week ending December 21, 2010. It peaked at number three on the Australian Singles Charts,[19] and received a six times Platinum certification by the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA).[20] The song reached number four on the New Zealand Singles Chart,[21] and was certified Platinum past the Recording Industry Association of New Zealand (RIANZ). "DJ Got Us Fallin' in Love" was certified Platinum in the regions of México and Switzerland, past the AMPROFON and IFPI, respectively. The song accomplished success in Europe, peaking at number 3 on the European Hot 100.[ commendation needed ] Internationally "DJ Got Us Fallin' in Beloved" reached the acme-ten in over xv countries, becoming one of Usher's most successful singles. It peaked in the acme five in Nippon,[22] Hungary,[23] France,[24] Switzerland,[25] Germany[26] and Republic of austria.[27]

The music video for the song premièred on August 26, 2010, on Vevo, and was directed by Hiro Murai.[31] [32] The video begins in a order environment, with misplaced furniture and a shattered glass canteen. Fallin' in Love" on Good Forenoon America, alongside "OMG".[33] A few days later, Conductor performed the song on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.[34] On Dec 17, 2010, he performed the song aslope "There Goes My Babe" on Jimmy Kimmel Live!.[35] Usher performed "DJ Got Us Fallin' in Love" in the season 5 finale of America's Got Talent,[36] and in the seventh season of The X Factor.[37] He performed the song during his OMG Bout, alongside several other tracks.[38] The song was performed with "OMG" during the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards.[39] VMA executive producer Dave Sirulnick told MTV News, "We said to him, 'We want to do the best televised trip the light fantastic toe routine that you've washed in years. The performance was received with critical acclamation.
